Happy New Year Divas!
On behalf of Platinum Wigs, I would like to thank all of our great customers for your support and your business. Because of you, Platinum Wigs had a better than expected 2009 year. Each day we awake with the goal of providing a great product along with great service. While no business is totally without mistakes, I truly believe that Platinum Wigs has done a great job accomplishing it's goal. However, we don't take our short term success for granted and we definitely don't take our customers for granted. We realize out of all the lace wig resellers out there, you have chosen to do business with our company. That's an honor that we do not take lightly.
With our first year of being in business nearly behind us, we will continue to work on ways to improve our processes while offering you great products at reasonable prices. Along with growth comes growing pains. But, we will not allow those growing pains to compromise the quality of our lace wigs or our service. Part of being a successful business is being able to handle growth. Platinum Wigs is determined to become the best in doing what we do and we intend to do that by winning over one customer at a time.
If you like what we're doing, feel free to write and tell us about it. Also, if you don't like something that we're doing, feel free to write and tell us about it. We love to know how we are doing. You can always complete our feedback form online by going to How Are We Doing?
Again, Happy New Year and we look forward to serving each and every one you in 2010.
Thx,
Taya, The Big Wig

Hi Divas!
We constantly get two questions, "Are your lace wigs really made of 100% Indian Remy Hair?" and "Why are your prices so low?" The answer to the first question is emphatically "YES!" We only sell the highest quality 100% Indian Remy Hair. If you are in doubt, simply check out our eBay feedback and our testimonials.
Each day we are winning more and more loyal customers by standing behind the products that we sell. Our customers are allowed to order our lace wigs and send them back for a full refund if they don't like them. Oh, and we will pay the return postage. Who else is standing behind their lace wigs with that level of guarantee?
Our lace wigs are made from the same quality hair that others are selling for hundreds of dollars more. And yes, we could easily sell our wigs for a higher price, but we've chosen a price point that works for us. I've actually seen a forum discussion where people are skeptical because our prices are "too low". In the words of ShaNaNa, "Oh my GOODNESS!" LOL I suppose I'll just have to see how that discussion goes from afar since I've been banned from that particular discussion board. LOL For those who feel our prices are "too low"; I won't try to convince you not to spend over $300 for the same quality lace wig that Platinum Wigs sell for under $200. Oh well, "to each their own." But to those savvy shoppers who have discovered the "Platinum advantage"; thank you for your business and welcome to Platinum Wigs. Happy shopping.
Thx,
Taya, The Big Wig

Hi Divas!
This blog was inspired by the many inquiries that I've received from individuals who are impressed with both our products and our website presence. I must admit that I'm flattered everyone seems to like what we are doing and Platinum Wigs has been extremely well received. To briefly address those questions concerning our technology without divulging confidential information, I will share that well over 6 months and over $50,000 of development and marketing effort went into creating Platinum Wigs. In addition to the basic website look and feel, there is an extensive e-commerce solution behind the website. This is the part that the public doesn't see or realize is happening. And even after the extensive development, we continue to have technical difficulties that must to be resolved daily, so the effort requires ongoing care and maintenance. In many cases, our customers point these issues out to us and that helps us to get better.
I'm not a technical guru, but my business partners have extensive backgrounds in both technology and business which is a plus. I understand business and more importantly, the business of hair. However, you must start at a point which fits both your comfort level and budget. You can start with a much smaller budget, but you have to deliver "more" than what you promise consumers since people are already skeptical about purchasing these types of products over the Internet.
Selling human hair lace wigs is different from selling manufactured widgets such as TV's or cell phones. It's fairly easy to purchase a cell phone over the Internet because it contains a model number which makes for a simple comparison from one vendor to another. However, there are vendors who sell lace wigs and use similar language for totally different products, which means that we get a plethora of questions each day from potential customers looking for clarity because they may have already been taken advantage of or sensed that all wig companies are not created equal. It's similar to cooking. Your mom's sweet potato pie may taste much better than the neighbor's, but they are both called sweet potato pie. This is why we allow customers to order our lace wigs and return them for a full refund if they're not satisfied, and we even pick up the shipping charges for the return.
I'll delve deeper into this subject of differences between online wig vendors in another blog, but for now I simply wanted to provide a brief overview of the effort that went into creating PlatinumWigs.com. However, even more important than the technology is the customer service. Even if you begin by selling wigs or any other product online or out the trunk of your car, you have to have great customer service. A good strategy is to always deliver more than you promise. Because, if you're not doing this, then the best technology will not help your business grow.
Thx,

Hi Divas!
Thanks for visiting Platinum Wigs and thanks for visiting my blog. My name is Taya and I'm The Big Wig of Platinum Wigs. First things first - I don't write these blogs to win a literary award or show how good my grammar and spelling are (or should that be "is" LOL). Therefore, you may see me twist some words from time to time worst than Madea. :-)
This blog is dedicated to discussing issues regarding lace wigs, weaves, and hair in general. I'll also use the blog to answer some of your lace wig and weave related questions that you may have for me. So, please feel free to hit a sista up at info@platinumwigs.com if you would like me to discuss a particular topic or you have a burning question. From time to time, I may also take the opportunity to vent about certain issues, discuss some celebrity hairstyles, share some pictures or videos of my latest outings, or simply engage in idle chit chat.
I think it's important for people to know with whom they are doing business with. In fact, I just got suspended from a popular hair forum today (Damn I thought that ended in school LOL), because I replied to someone asking about Platinum Wigs. Well, who better to answer that question than one of the principals of the business. Perhaps I was a bit long-winded and passionate, but Platinum Wigs is my baby (my youngest baby anyway) and I feel that we're offering superior quality lace wigs at extremely competitive prices along with excellent customer service. Therefore, if someone is asking about us, I want the opportunity to tell them who we are.
To be quite frank, there are sites all over the Internet with people selling lace wigs, but you never know who owns these sites, because they choose to stay "in the closet". I prefer to know who I am doing business with. Because if there is a problem, I have someone other than a ghost to hold responsible. Anywho, I won't go off on a tangent because it's late (after 12:30AM) and I'm sleepy. Again, thanks for visiting Platinum Wigs, and thanks for reading my blog. Let me know what you like and dislike about Platinum Wigs. We take customer feedback very seriously and we're always looking for ways to improve the quality of service and the quality of our products.
Thx,
Taya, The Big Wig!
